Mexico Bass Fishing in Lake Agua Milpa

Lake Agua Milpa is one of Mexico’s “newest” lakes where you can enjoy bass fishing; it opened to the sport more than 10 years ago, in the year 1997, and since then it has received the visit of millions of anglers and fishing enthusiasts.

Its popularity grew quickly mainly thanks for being one of the most accessible lakes in Mexico. This 70,000 ace lake is just 3 hours from Puerto Vallarta or Guadalajara and you can reach it via a paved road. If you want a quicker trip, you can also find air charters that will take you there.

Lake Agua Milpa is surrounded by a beautiful scenery that includes tropical mountains and exotic trees. The lake until 1997 was protected from fishing and now it is considered a “bass fishing paradise” by experts and anglers going on Mexico bass fishing trips.

To make fishing easier, you’ll find the Agua Milpa lodge which has been constructed in recent years. Accommodations are locates in one side of the mountain, so you can enjoy a beautiful view of the entire lake and the surrounding mountains. As with other lodges we have talked about in this blog, you’ll find excellent food and services to make the most out of your trip. Every room has air conditioning systems and private bathrooms.
