Lake Baccarac, in Mexico, is considered by many as the best big bass lake in the World. The lake was stocked in 1978 and since then it has been improving constantly. The lake is located in the midst of a beautiful scenery, surrounded by mountain peaks and green foliage.

The Lake Baccarac fishing lodge is located in a town called Bacubirito, which is a gold mining town, and it can be easily reached by plane from Los Mochis. The lodge has its own 5,200 ft landing strip. From the lodge, you can get to the lake in about 20 minutes, and you can enjoy from the best comfort during your Mexico bass fishing trip. You’ll find air conditioning, hot water, purified water and comfortable rooms.

Lake Baccarac is 25 miles long and 5 miles wide. In this lake, the record bass weighed 19.10 pounds and the record was registered in 1993 by Bruce Knutson. But this is a record that extends beyond Mexico, it is an all-time Latin American record! Some experts claim that the next World Record for largemouth bass will be registered soon in this lake. There are many stories of anglers who have hooked and then lost fish weighing over 20 pounds!

Lake Baccarac is definitely one of the best lakes to visit in Mexico for bass fishing.
